Ottawa Adoption Connections is owned and operated by Mary Adele Blair, MSW, RSW, a Registered Social Worker and Approved Private Adoption Practitioner for the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Adele has been providing adoption services to adoptive families, birth parents and children in Eastern Ontario for 27 years. She is also the mother of 3 adopted children.
If you are a prospective adoptive parent, Adele will guide you through the adoption process from initial consultation to Home Study, mandatory training, placement and post-placement supervisions as required. Adele will help you determine what type of adoption is right for you and help you towards achieving your goal of becoming a parent.
If you are a birth parent, Adele can help you look at all your options and guide you through the private adoption process if that is your choice. Post-placement counselling is also available.
Affiliations
Mary Adele Blair is a member in good standing with the following organizations;
- The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers,
- The Ontario Association of Social Workers, and
- The Private Adoption Practitioners of Eastern Ontario.
Adele has been on the executive of the Open Door Society, an adoptive parents support group in the Ottawa area and was Chairperson of PAPEO, the professional organization for Private Adoption Practitioners, Licensees and International Adoption Agencies in Eastern Ontario from May 1999 to May 2001.
In addition, Adele is approved by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services to conduct Home Studies for adoption since 1985.
